Join Fern Hollow for our 2nd Annual Big Day of Birding! On Saturday, May 2 teams of nature enthusiasts will explore our local green spaces to find as many different bird species as they can. Teams will get sponsors for the number of species found (or a flat rate) and help us raise money for our environmental education programs geared towards our feathered friends and their habitats.
Last year, as a group, all of the Big Day Teams found 86 different species of birds in the Sewickley Area. Each team had at least one species that no one else saw. We think we can identify 100 species this year! Are you up for the challenge?
We will end the day back at a campfire at FHNC where prizes will be awarded and stories will be shared. With your support, we hope to reach even more children and help them Learn, Explore & Discover our natural world.
