Fern Hollow’s summer camps will engage kids of all ages and interests with camps about bugs and birds, forests and meadows, creeks and streams, and ecology and environment. INDIAN TALES & NATURE TRAILS
June 21st-June 25th 9:00am till Noon

Come enjoy a week full of nature filled fun and outdoor action! This half-day nature camp provides
“hand-on” experiences for your child. Activities for the week include examine and study live snakes and turtles, catch and observe insects and spiders in our meadow, dig up animal bones in our new fossil pit, learn about our local Native Americans and make great crafts to take home. Daily activities will include a morning hike, a snack and story time, educational study topic for the day with an occasional nature art activity.

Camp Fee: $140 FHNC Members; $190 Non-members

Age: 5 to 6 years (must be 5 by June 30th)

BIOLOGIST IN TRAINING
July 12th-July 16th 9:00am till Noon

This half day nature camp will make a true biologist out of your child. Daily educational themes will focus on reptiles, amphibians, birds, insects, trees, mammals, fish and other wildlife found in
Pennsylvania. Daily activites will include a morning hike, visits by special guests and the study topic for the day. Campers will also have fun with nature games and art activities.

Age: 7 to 8 years (must be 7 by July 30th)

BEAR CUB ADVENTURE I
July 19th-July 23rd 9:00am – 11:30am

Preschool is the perfect time to introduce kids to the wonder and beauty of nature. Your preschooler can join us for a fun week of outdoor play, nature games, crafts and exploration at Fern Hollow Nature Center. Campers will hike through the meadow, explore the new nature play area, and hunt for insects. We might even get down and dirty looking for earthworms!

Camp Fee: $130 FHNC Members; $180 Non-members

Age: 3 to 4 years (must be 3 by July 30th)

EXPLORING ART & NATURE AT FHNC
July 26th – July 30th 9:00am till 3:00pm

This full-day camp with Fern Hollow Nature Center and Sweetwater Center for the Arts allows campers to explore art, nature and science on our beautiful grounds and trails. In the morning, children will participate in an art camp where they will create artwork utilizing materials found in nature. In the afternoon, campers will get to experience the wonders of nature from a scientific point of view. Campers will look for examples of scientific principles out in nature then spend time with lots of hands-on experimentation.

Camp Fee: $250 FHNC/Sweetwater Members; $275 Non-members

BEAR CUB ADVENTURE II

FHNC Family Camp Out

July 24^th – July 25^th 1:00pm Sat. – 10:00am Sun.

Join us for a fun Family Camp Out at Fern Hollow. Planned Activities include hiking, swimming, and fishing at a local park (offsite). Dinner will be fireside at Fern Hollow followed by a night hike, campfire songs, and a little star gazing from the edge of the meadow. On Sunday, we will have breakfast. Bring your own tent, sleeping bags, mess kit and drinks (alcohol not permitted). Registration is required – Space is limited!

Camp Fee: Members-$20/adult and $10/child; Non-Members-$25/adult and $15/child (children under 5 are free)
