Volunteer with Nature Guides
Nature Guide Training Session
February 8th and 22nd from 9:00 to 1:30
at Fern Hollow Nature Center
Fern Hollow Nature Center is seeking parent volunteers to assist with elementary school environmental education programs throughout the school year. Volunteers at Fern Hollow, known as Nature Guides, lead small groups of visiting Sewickley area school children on educational nature walks through local Sewickley parks. Past walk topics have included birds, insects and trees among others. No previous experience if necessary – all training is provided by Fern Hollow Nature Center. In an age of increasing indoor entertainment, help bring the wonders of the natural world to life for children in an outdoor, hands-on setting!
Training for spring programming will be held on Feb 8th and Feb 22nd at the nature center at 1901 Glen Mitchell Road, Sewickley, PA. It is a great way to learn more and enjoy the great outdoors with your children!
