JR Explorers Spring 2024

Similar to our original “Little Explorers” program, each week of Junior Explorers is a unique blend of hikes, nature lessons and play that also foster early learning skills using the natural world, but with content geared towards older Preschool and Kindergarten-aged children.

Participants should come dressed according to the weather. A *NUT-FREE* snack and reusable water bottle are also recommended. Although we will spend some time indoors, the program is geared to have children outside enjoying nature as much as possible.

Different variations of this program are offered throughout the year to provide unique experiences based on the changing seasons.

  • Drop off program geared for children 4-6 years old
  • 6 Week sessions
  • Up to 12 spaces
  • Thursday Afternoon Sessions at Fern Hollow: April 4 to May 9
  • From 1:30 to 4:00 PM
  • At Fern Hollow Nature Center (1901 Glen Mitchell Rd, Sewickley)
  • Members $190 per child, per session.
  • Public $220 per child, per session. (Become a member FHNC Today)

*No tickets will be issued. A reservation under your name will be at the event’s entrance.
**Requests for refunds will be accepted up until five (5) days before this program begins.
Refunds will be the full amount, minus processing fees and issued via PayPal.
