Sensory Friendly Play Date

FHNC is excited to invite any young naturalists with sensory sensitivities, and their caregivers, to experience the benefits of outdoor play and education in a comfortable and accepting environment.

Participants can enjoy a nature lesson and hands-on activity, as well as free exploration time in the meadow and outdoor classroom.

Maximum group numbers, lighting, and sounds will be adjusted, and items such as noise-cancelling headphones, alternative seating, and fidgets will be available.

All personal sensory tools/kits are also welcome. Registered parties are encouraged to bring a snack and drink.

  • For kids ages 3 to 6
  • Members $8 per caregiver and up to 2 children ($3/ extra child)
  • Public $14 per caregiver and up to 2 children ($3/ extra child)
  • Limited spaces.  Registration is required.

*No tickets will be issued. A reservation under your name will be at the event’s entrance.
**Requests for refunds will be accepted up until five (5) days before this program begins. Refunds will be the full amount, minus processing fees and issued via PayPal.
