I’ve heard great things about their programs and outdoor classroom and gorgeous meadows! I can’t wait to walk through the meadow and enjoy the space here.

My son started coming to Fern Hollow nature camps about ten years ago when he was in preschool. He’s in high school now and a boy scout. Fern Hollow has some great nature programs for kids to start them learning about nature early.
The programs here have always been really intriguing. I remember a lesson on maple syrup and maple trees where we got to walk around and see the maple syrup being collected.
Our kids came to some programs here when they were younger — they’re adults now. We come to the occasional adult program. We learned how to make maple syrup last winter with my granddaughter.
Everyone is very friendly and doing good work and that’s what I appreciate about the Fern Hollow community. After I volunteer here, I feel good. It gives me good exercise and time out in nature. It’s very peaceful and calming.
I’m in school and it’s hard to find time to get outside especially when we’re all on our phones and online. It’s therapeutic.
After I volunteer here I usually feel tired, but also rewarded. It’s so nice to be outside even if it’s not a great day. Everyone that comes and helps is amazing.
I think the biggest difference since coming to Fern Hollow is his appreciation for different things in nature. Rather than thinking something is cool, he would come back from a Little Explorers day and want to tell me about what woodpeckers do or what they planted in the garden and why it’s important.
